Hampstead

London

Hampstead Location

A warm feel-good romcom where we find Emily Walters exploring Hampstead discovering Donald Horner who has been living off the land on Hampstead Heath for 17 years. The story was inspired by the life of Harry Hallowes who lived in Hampstead Heath. What a setting to enjoy.

If you enjoyed the film then this location will not fail to disappoint with it's large open grass park lands, spectacular views of London city and it's buildings, open air swimming ponds and a maze of streets with quaint shops and incredible delicatessens. A Swim In The Pond

Hampstead Heath | London | United Kingdom

A Swim In The Pond Location

In the film we see Donald bathing and swimming in his local Pond but this isn't as strange an occurence in Hampstead Heath as it may seem. Pond swimming in one of the many dedicated outdoor bathing ponds is a popular activity.

Ponds include the mixed pond at the southern end of the Heath, Highgate Men's Bathing Pond, the Kenwood Ladies' Bathing Pond at the east-side and the Parliament Hill Lido in the far south east corner. Cost is just a few of pounds, depending on time of day, which goes towards the upkeep of the swimming facilities. If you fancy this off-beat activity bring your swimming bathers and bravery for the low temperature of the water.

The ponds have life guards and are run by the City of London. Full details can be found on the official website;
